Why should I have my carpets cleaned regularly?Cleaning your carpets and upholstery regularly not only prolongs their life but it also has an impact on the IAQ of your home environment. The Australian Standard recommends that carpets in a domestic setting be regularly cleaned at least once a year.
How long does the
carpet take to dry?
It depends on the weather but as a guide in summer about 3-4
hours. In winter it will take longer however it shouldn't take
any more than 6-7 hours unless it is a wool carpet. You can
enhance drying time by turning on ceiling fans or hiring our air
blower.
Can you remove all
stains?
Some stains cannot be removed however we do offer carpet repair
services which you can discuss with us. To reduce the risk of
staining we recommend you treat a stain as soon as possible and refer
to our tip sheet for further
information.
Can I get urine smell
out of my carpet?
Sometimes. The proper way to treat a urine stain is to lift the
carpet, wash the back and front and then dry before cutting out and
replacing the underlay.
Do you move
furniture as part of
your service?
We assist in moving some furniture within reason however we do ask that you
remove any smaller items and breakables prior to our attendance so
that larger items can be moved more easily and without fear of
breakages.
What sort of equipment
and methods do you use?
We have a powerful truck mounted carpet cleaning machine as well as a
portable where access is an issue. The method we recommend is
hot water injection and extraction however we do have equipment to
offer bonnet cleaning upon request including the ever increasing
popularity of encapsulation cleaning..
